Matare Photography

Tendai Gabriel Matare is a London-based photographer known for his compelling visual storytelling across portraiture, editorial, and documentary photography. With a strong foundation in both commercial and conceptual work, his practice blends artistic sensitivity with a clear understanding of brand and narrative needs.

Originally trained in Design at HyperWerk (FHNW) in Switzerland, Matare began his photographic career with a socially driven perspective. He later honed his technical and commercial skills working under renowned photographer Tim Thiel in Frankfurt, before launching his independent practice.

Matare’s portfolio now spans editorial commissions, campaigns, and cultural partnerships, with a consistent focus on identity, representation, and emotional resonance. He holds an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from the London College of Communication and brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to every project.
